danceWEB offered a slot in the danceWEB Scholarship Programme 2011 to the co-organizer Workshop Foundation. This slot comprised a fixed nomination in danceWEB 2011, the covering of 1/3 of the total scholarship expenses, which in general the selected danceWEB candidates need to secure through a funding institution in their home country and the covering of the travel costs. Workshop Foundation chose Julia Lanyi (HU) for this slot.

During the five weeks of the danceWEB Scholarship Programme 2011, Julia Lanyi completed ten technique classes and Research Projects and attended 45 performances, offered by ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival.

Innovation comes from people meeting up in the hallways or calling each other at 10:30 at night with a new idea or because they realized something that shoots holes in how we've been thinking about a problem”
Steve Jobs

A rooftop.
60 exciting, new faces.

New voices, new textures, new smells, new thoughts.

Gathering and sharing, finding your taste. Scanning trough the days, to get closer to what you look for.

Connecting. Disconnecting.

A warm hug from all over the world.

A six weeks fiction, a life long existing memory.
The freedom to take, to select.

The smile of Hanna and Dennis, even if it is the third show of the night, and you are late for the third time.

Form bollywood to woodcarving, from what a hungry Chinese girl would cook at midnight, to the Austrian low for riding the bicycle.

Fireman, alarm, 3 a.m., dancers in pajama in Neustiftgasse - burned the rise.

Rise nudels in front of Volkstheater, could safe a life sometimes!

Fullness. Filled with art.

Endless… just laying there to access it.
How to choose?

The greatest gesture, the offer to explore.
A ticket to learn.

Very special, very supportive, very much to accept.

Nevertheless lovely.
I miss it!
